The FULL inside history tour video is live on the channel now!! irglo.info/from/oceog2SiodmZeYE/fy-lm-h-y.html
I work there as a kid from 2009 to 2012 other than IRglo videos I never got to see and it's Prime I hope they can keep it around a long time this time
Bring it on I can’t wait!! This is what I’m here for bringing history back to life!
Actually they haven’t touched up the sign at all. I was there 3 years ago, and it looks the same when I compared your footage with the pictures I have. Love the content!
Was out of town or I would have been at this !! Enjoyed
Pumped would be one word to describe it. 😆 Looking fwd to seeing the vid. Cheers
Man its so cool to see this! grew up in North Wilkesboro and spent most of my life (I am 27) driving by this place on 421 hoping I would one day get to check it out for myself! Last time I was here I was still in my moms womb in April of 1994. Thanks for the early sneak peek!
Last time I was at NW was also April 1994. I was 11 and it was my dad’s birthday. We got to go down on the race track and get a whole bunch of autographs. I have fond memories of this place. I still have the hat with all the autographs.
@Stapleton42 Bro, did you just see 1320 & Limpy just done a cash days at THE PEOPLE'S TRACK?!
Man that’s wild. We are so glad you’re here!
Well, now we know where most of the post-war "40" Fords went!!! 🤣How big a rush that must be for you two to have fans recognizing you both and being so excited!! That's great!! Can't wait to see your tour video of this track!!! 👍👍
40 Ford Coupe...my favorite car of all time !
Thanks man!
Those old race cars were fantastic ! Would love to see them ripping around the track !
Thank you both as always for your content. It really does put child-like smiles on grown ass people's faces when you post this stuff. Looking forward to the full tour, can't wait. Cheers.
Love seeing stuff like this! Checking some of the cars out and the builds would be sweet! The LONG HEADED car is awesome!
Great video can’t wait till the other video comes also love Hearing Logan doing more commentating in the videos Thank you and Logan for documenting these old race tracks and shops
So awesome to see, love it! You can feel the energy from everyone you two was around for this iconic place to come back to life! Thank you for being who you are and sharing..
Thanks Johnny!
Glad to see this happening! How cool is that! Hopefully there will be some form of racing held there on a regular basis. Will be looking forward to the next video featuring this speedway, sure do appreciate it! You & Logan rock it! Thank you for great video content, there with you guys.
It gave me goosebumps hearing V8’s rumble at North Wilkesboro again even if it was just show cars. It’s still freaking BADASS!!!
Can’t wait to finally go watch races there again. I went to a race as a kid, and have been waiting for this moment.
Thank you for the effort you put into your videos I really enjoy the NASCAR stuff you both have a way of making people feel a part of it just through watching
Looks like this was a really cool experience. I can only imagine what the history of that track is. The stories are probably out of this world. Thanks for the content man. Looking forward to the follow up video.
Recording oral history from the people who were on the scene is important beyond measure , thank you for doing it! Can't wait to see the full tour, this should be as good as the one with the former track manager at Rockingham.
It absolutely is!
So happy this relic is going to come back alive again never seen a race there been by so many times just driving by you can just imagine the history that happened there. That truck load of chickens brings back memories to driving by them just was terrible in smell not good memories of that lol y’all have a good one looking forward to more videos about wilks
oh man i cant believe i didnt see this sooner!! cant wait for the full video. Love the nascar history and keep em coming!!
You guys are so awesome!! Hitting em out of the park! I can’t believe you guys got into All of these amazing bucket list places! Your putting the story back out there that really hasn’t been told! Thank you for documenting all of these amazing places! Thank you a million times!
You have no idea how happy I am to see that track be Resurrected, we are losing too many of the historic tracks that I grew up watching. Thank you guys for putting together another great video and can't wait to see the complete tour.
My first race was at North Wilkesboro when I signed up start racing with NASCAR I was there in a different series but I was there when Dale Earnhardt and Wendell Scott Ned Jarrett Bobby Allison was there brings back a lot of great fond memories as I have said in the past I have a NASCAR sitting here at the house that is street legal and it will be on the road hopefully very very soon what you done was absolutely as all your videos superb I can't wait to see more of them that you will bring out at some point in time I'd like for you both to look at this old race car here not to write a story about but just to look at and I'd like to meet you both GOD bless you both stay safe👍👍
I pull pepsi trailers up towards boone about once a week, or once every other week. So every time I pass by that track I look at it and I can already tell just from highway 421 that they have really cleaned up the place and are bringing it back to life. Can't wait. Dad was at the very last race and he's excited to be that the second 1st race.
Thanks man that’s awesome
Be right here looking for the full tour…. Thanks to the two of you for bringing all of this cool cool racing nostalgia!!
Your history content rocks. Keep em comn. I was there in 1999 and it was just so cool to see as the ghost it became. It really didnt look like a professional facility at all and wasnt very big..... but i was amazed at it and thought about all the greats that raced there. On long island we have riverhead raceway... a joke of a track but fun as hell.....on turn 3 you get oelted with rubber....i really hope they put NW back on the schedule. It showcases so much more individual talent.
NASCAR is lucky you're around Mitchell....Your enthusiasm for the golden age of NASCAR is unmatched. I don't think I've heard you talk about todays NASCAR, at least not that much. You have picked the best times NASCAR ever had to offer....back in 1991 I'd watch all practices and Happy Hour every week they raced....It has changed so much and thats part of life I guess. Nice job on the video...Once again I appreciate all of your hard work...Thanks God Bless you Both...
Thank you Mike!
Awesome stuff I love those old race cars! Would be great to see them on track!
Love you and Logan's content. Keep it up. I am 53 and have been to probably 50 NASCAR races since the early 80's. Love the old historic tracks like Martinsville, Darlington and Wilkesboro. I moved from Indiana to the Charlotte area back in 2006 for work and came down by myself for the first couple months to find a house and then my wife and daughter came down a couple months later. On my way down I just could not resist taking a little detour down old Highway 421 to see the old girl. I stopped in and drove up to the track and just took it all in. One of the coolest experience ever. Looking forward to your next video. I hope to see NASCAAR back at the old girl again!!! She is worse for ware right now, but she has not given up.
Thanks man
Love your content and I love how your better half is willing to go anywhere with you no matter what , enjoy it while you can !
Thanks Matthew
Patiently waiting for the “no stone unturned tour”, know its going to be awesome.
Would have loved to have been there with our vintage modified! Thanks to you folk's it's like we were! Thanks again! Looking forward to the "No Stone Unturned Tour"!
I've been in the infield for probably 12 - 15 Cup races in the 80's and 90's...one of the BEST infields in all of NASCAR.
Pretty neat really enjoyed seeing all the old racecar's and that's pretty neat that people live that close to the racetrack they could probably sit and watch the race from their front yard if they wanted to can't wait for the full tour video
So cool. I was lucky enough to be at the last cup race there back in the day. Can't wait for the full tour video!
Another great video...I really enjoy seeing your explorations, nice as you always feel like you're there with you all!
Very cool brother. Love it that an old track is coming back. Looking forward to seeing the full tour of this place.
Pretty excited there is stuff happening here again! Wish I could make it to an event.
It was neat to meet y’all. Thank y’all for coming up. I made a little video of the evening myself.
Oh man this was awesome!! I’m really happy you 2 were able to attend & share with us folks that couldn’t make it. I’m so looking fwd to N. Wilksboro holding races again. I hope to attend one in the future. That ‘40 Ford coupe at time 8:36 looks a lot like the one Junior Johnson drove in a special about him back on the either the Speed channel or TNT. Cheers & stay safe.
So very awesome that this place is gonna make a comeback. Wilkesboro holds a special place in my heart.. I started attending Cup races here in Sept.'87 and never missed one(including Monday races, too) until the track closed in '96. I can't wait to make the trip when those Cup cars come back(fingers crossed). Thanks again for the awesome content and video.
Thank you Bobby we are glad you’re here!
I am glad that they are bringing back one of the great tracks. Next they need the Nashville fair grounds. And Irp
awesome content as always. I love it when Logan finds something funny then says isn't that funny.
I really enjoy the history you do on the tracks and the old race shops. great work
Awesome teaser guys, hanging for the full tour 😁😁😁
That is so cool I was wondering the exact same thing if anyone was ever going to be able to get in there and record before they tore it down and or rebuilt it
I absolutely love watching all this nascar history you are uncovering. Dude it would be absolutely amazing if you could produce an actual documentary about all of that and have some of the guys in there like mark martin and darrell. All of that history is so epic with all the small stories of each team and stuff. It’s awesome!!!
Yeah that would be a ton of editing. But I think it would take off if enough people got behind you.
Thanks Brennan. I’m not skilled enough to do the editing on that lol
Loving these videos dude. Planning to come to the first race there. Hope to see you all.
Awesome you got to go to the open house, I wish they would have done it on the weekend so I could have checked it out but 2.5 hours each way without traffic is a bit much through the week. I'll definitely be watching the tour video when it's up.
As someone who lives in New England, appreciate you guys bringing this event to everyone who couldn't be there
Cool to see the history being recorded. Gonna go watch the full tour.
I remember watching races at that track. I miss all the old cool tracks
Your doing awesome appreciate the content I grew up loving all things with engine's it didnt matter my brother also watches ur stuff but he's a different story
Cool video, I plan to be there in August and October to watch some races. I use to drive by the track when I was in school at App State. I was so glad to hear someone’s using it again. If NASCAR had any sense they’d race there at least once a year.
It’s Nice to see that the North wilkeboro speedway is starting to be recognizable again considering that back then it was most commonly used in NASCAR in the early days and just seeing that lots of people have revisited this speedway is amazing because since then it was never used again which I kinda wish the current years of NASCAR would used this speedway once more of this ever gets restored it would’ve been really nice to see this being revisited in the current days of NASCAR Just like how they did it with the darlington raceway but with that being said it’s incredible that lots of people are starting to revisit this iconic raceway from the early days of NASCAR.
I love the channel, started watching about the time you moved to NC. Keep up the great stuff! NC is the honeyhole of content, spent 2 weeks filming up there last summer! I will keep watching!
Thank you!
This was to cool and I'm so jelly 😫 guys If I have known I definitely would have made the trip. I was there about a month ago and just looking from the outside was cool.
Thanks for doing this and keeping the history .
Can't wait to see the whole tour.
Man ! Great job , it’s like how can I top this one ? Well how bout an inside tour of a place lost in time ! Can’t wait to watch it on Sunday, and can’t wait to see the total rebirth of such a great racing venue . Hoping the racing community will support all the efforts not just once but for many years to come ! Thanks for bringing us all places when some of us just can’t be there , kudos to both of you !
Thanks terry!
This is awesome Can’t wait for the tour.👌🏁🇦🇺👍
I didn’t even realize until watching this episode that I was literally beside you more than once. that evening. I even have videos kneeling at the ticket stand getting the cars coming out of the track and you two are standing behind them. Truly awesome job with the videos and documenting these tracks and memorabilia before there gone or vandalized. Needless to say you definitely have gained a new subscriber thanks again!
Your channel is one of the only channels I actually get to learn cool stuff with. I would never have heard who Dink was but now researching him…..HOLY CRAP
Thanks man! That’s our goal always!
Hell yes can’t wait to see the next video. Thanks again for sharing this amazing history.
So cool loving seeing old tracks getting redone and used.
@Stapleton42 yes I remember seeing it on top gear then cars 3 lol. I watched a Nascar classic race that I believe Jeff Gordon won in like 95ish there
Same man! We are glad you’re here!
The two of you are just totally awesome!!
Thank you Greg!
Joe is always talking about how awesome North Wilksboro is, So cool you guys got to go there! So cool to see what he has been talking about! You guys are so great! Thank you! Wish Oregon had some great classic tracks. Hope Ruger is doing well, we just got a baby Pug, his name is Blaney, If you couldn’t guess Joe is a Ryan Blaney fan, after Jr, he picked Blaney! Hope you guys are doing great, can’t wait for the new shop dog shirts!
This stuff is badass guys love the old stuff and any chance you do some old dragstrip history or abandon racetracks kind of like Dale Jr did ?
I love this channel and I have watched some of them and incredible content and I want to plan to come spend time in August hopefully to see North Wilkesboro and some of Unique Nascar or related shops!
Thank you Michael!
I would like to say as a Fellow Fan And Supporter of NC and North Wilksboro Speedwwy I would like to Sincerely Thank you for doing this Video and the next one that way people will always be able to see what North Wilksboro looked original and his History
very cool. i'm hoping to get to come up there for the dirt races before the new pavement goes down
I’m so glad I found this channel! It’s like home.
When I was on holiday (I have family in Greensboro NC) I took my family to the track and the manager at the time (this was maybe 8years ago) let us walk around the grounds and spent some time with us and even back then he had hopes as did I, that racing would come back and now because of Dale Jr & Matt Dillner and there passion for old tracks, lit the fire that started the process to where we are at today!
Yall male the best videos . I like everyone of them. Thank you.
Thanks David
Ur videos are so amazing, keep up the good work man
This stuff is cool as always and speaking of cool flathead swaps there is a guy near me with one in a Pinto
Awesome video dude. That place is so rich in history it's unreal!
My step-dad is the younger guy with the #3 car in the thumbnail. His dad which was also there was good friends with tiny Lund so he grew up around that whole crowd of old racers and knows so many stories from back then.
thats awesome
I attended local stock car races in 50's and 60's. Lots of forty era cars during those days and they were not as nice as cars in this video. Another glaring thing I noticed was a lots less heavy people 60 years ago.
Can’t wait, this will be awesome!! My brother got to meet you up there!
Another good video guys. Thanks for sharing 🇺🇸
Thank you Arthur!
Another great video. I live 3 hrs from the track. Glad to see NW and Rockingham being refurbished.
Thanks Jerry! We are glad too
